The Department of Construction Management is proud to announce the appointment of Dr Mohlomi Raliile as the new Construction Health and Safety Management lecturer, effective from 15 February 2024. Dr Raliile is well known to the department having fulfilled a role as a contract lecturer for Risk Management, Environmental Management and Health and Safety Management modules on the MSc Built Environment Programme previously.

Dr Raliile is both a lecturer and researcher in Construction Management. He focuses on Construction Health and Safety Management, Wellbeing, Risk Management, Environmental Management and Construction Innovation and Technology. He has worked in the construction industry in Lesotho and South Africa as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, Contracts Manager and Health and Safety Manager.

He has consulted with industry stakeholders requiring research-based solutions on Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing. Besides his construction industry experience, he is a serial entrepreneur working within the creative economy.

Dr Raliile recently completed a PhD in Construction Management from the University of the Free State. His thesis is titled: Occupational Stress Management Model for the Construction Workforce in South Africa.
