‘Building and construction’-related abstracts / papers can address the three broad areas of ergonomics: physical; cognitive, and organisational. Although, historically, the focus of the ‘building and construction’ track / sessions has(ve) been on physical ergonomics, there is a need to address cognitive, and organisational ergonomics relative to ‘building and construction’. With the advent of Industry 4.0, such related submissions are likely to add major value.
During previous IEA Congresses, certainly 2018, and 2021, built environment-related papers were included in other technical Committee tracks, which we intend to mitigate. Therefore, a range of keywords which relate to the umbrella ‘Architecture, Engineering, Construction’ (AEC) follow: Architecture, Building, Built Environment, Construction, Engineering, Industry 4.0. Furthermore, when submitting a proposal (abstract) select ‘Building and Construction’ when you ‘Select a Primary Topic’.
