This, the 7th edition of the Sustainable Ecological Engineering Design for Society (SEEDS) Conference and addressed the interdependence of people, the built and natural environments, and recognises the interdisciplinary and international themes necessary to assemble the knowledge required for positive change. A number of other papers from Nelson Mandela University were well received at the event which was held as a hybrid conference for the 1st time, enabling presenters to deliver ‘live’ virtually to the conference attendees.
