Professor John Smallwood presented ‘The Long Overdue Overhaul of Addressing Designing for Construction Health and Safety’ to the Master Builders South Africa (MBSA) Webinar ‘Unpacking the Draft Construction Regulations 2024 Building Safer Futures: Aligning Design, Compliance, and Accountability in Construction’, 27 May 2025. The presentation is based primarily upon the article ‘The Draft 2024 Construction Regulations: The long overdue overhaul of addressing ‘designing for construction health and safety (H&S)’ issues and related interventions has passed’ published in African OS&H, March / April 2025, pp. 16-17, and six personal chapters in ‘Applied Construction Health and Safety’ co-authored by Prof Theo Haupt and Prof John Smallwood, and published in 2023.
